  • 1 cup (2 sticks or 227g) room temperature butter
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (256g)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g)

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar (granulated)
  • a quarter cup of brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup corn syrup (light)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 big beaten eggs, room temperature


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and parchment paper a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Using a pastry cutter, a fork, or your hands, combine the softened butter, flour, and sugar in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Press into the bottom of the baking dish that has been lined.
  4. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and strong.
